LAKE BREAK CRUISERS
The Lake Break Cruises Car Club Houghton Lake, MI.
This group of hard core dedicated car enthusiasts have over 75 members in surrounding areas of Michigan. Get togethers are held in Houghton Lake, Michigan, at The Lake Break Cafe on M-55 every Wednesday evening May-Sept. from 5 to 9 pm. Typically, 25-50 guys & gals will show up, often with a collector car. There are no requirement, dues, rules, elections or other non-automotive distractions - just people who love Antiques, Classics, Rods & Customs. If you are in the area, stop by, visit, eat, drink a lot of coffee or pop, and jabber about car stuff. FREE POP to Cruisers if you show up with a old car and a Ticket to win a Free Prize drawn at day of cruise (must be present to win).
In September we also do a Pumpkin Run Car Show & Cruise.

Most of our cruisers have left for warmer weather and we look for the snowbirds to return by the end of March. Hope they are enjoying lots of car shows and warm sunshine while they are away!
YOU KNOW YOU ARE AN OLD CAR NUT WHEN ...
You take along extra clothing because you never know where you are going to get stuck
You get more heat from the holes in the floor of the car than from the heater vents
You can't hear your car radio because of the wind noise from holes in the floor
Your car is so old it doesn't have a car radio
You spend more on car washes than you do on insurance
You carry enough tools with you to supply a small garage
You are immune to people asking "what is it?"
You are used to being passed on the highway
When you tell the guy at the local parts store the year and make of your car,
he looks at you with a blank, confused look on his face
You don't look at a gas gauge, you just fill up from time to time to be safe
You don't look at your speedometer, it doesn't work anyways
You don't have to bother changing oil, you are always having to add new to it anyways
Your wallet is empty
